PT Etiga Mobility Indonesia (E3 Mobility) has officially opened its electric two-wheeler manufacturing plant in Cikarang, Indonesia.
This marks the first-ever Korean-founded electric motorcycle factory in the country a bold step aligned with Indonesia’s national goals to reduce carbon emissions and expand sustainable mobility.
Under its flagship Deux brand, E3 Mobility will roll out a full lineup tailored to local needs.
the high-performance Deux 7 (250cc-class), the versatile Deux 5 (160cc-class), and the compact Deux 3 (125cc-class). Each model is designed with precision, performance, and practicality in mind.
What powers these bikes is just as important as the bikes themselves.
E3 Mobility integrates advanced electric powertrains from Hyundai Kefico and high-efficiency battery cells from LG Energy Solution, ensuring a powerful, reliable, and future-ready ride.
With strong local partnerships, E3 Mobility also guarantees consistent quality and optimized production standards.
With an annual production capacity of 36,000 units, the Cikarang plant is built to meet the fast-growing demand for electric mobility in Indonesia. This high-output facility ensures not only efficient production but also rapid scalability as adoption accelerates across the region.
A key highlight is the introduction of a Battery Swap System (BSS), made possible through collaboration with DMS,
Indonesia’s local battery swap operator.
By incorporating LG Energy Solution battery cells and deploying swap stations at public phones, gas stations, and convenience stores, battery swapping becomes as effortless as your daily commute.

At the grand opening, a wide range of guests attended, including
Febry Calvin Tetelepta (Deputy Chief of Staff to the President), Cahyo Purnomo (Director of Investment Promotion), Ambassador Su-Deok Park, as well as senior representatives from PT PLN, AISMOLI (the Indonesian Electric Motorcycle Association), ENTREV (UNDP’s EV ecosystem council), Duckyang Industrial, and FLN.
A spokesperson from E3 Mobility stated:
“As the third-largest motorcycle market in the world, Indonesia is shifting toward electric mobility faster than ever.
We’re proud to contribute with high-performance, high-quality EVs.
With this facility, E3 Mobility is ready to become a key player in Indonesia’s electric future.”
