In July 2024, South Korea’s leading electric mobility company, E3Mobility, officially established its Indonesian subsidiary, PT. ETIGA MOBILITY INDONESIA, in Jakarta.
This strategic move aims to serve as a key foothold for expanding into the Southeast Asian market, with a focus on localizing and customizing electric scooters and mobility solutions for Indonesia’s rapidly growing two-wheeler market.
Notably, the company also announced plans to complete construction of a local manufacturing plant near Jakarta by November, establishing a local production base to enhance both cost competitiveness and supply efficiency.
A company leader Daeshik Kim stated, “Indonesia has one of the highest demands for two-wheelers globally, and with the country’s active transition toward electric mobility, we see tremendous growth potential. Through the establishment of our subsidiary and the upcoming completion of our manufacturing plant, we aim to strengthen our end-to-end localization strategy across development, production, and marketing.”
PT. ETIGA MOBILITY INDONESIA is also aligned with Indonesia’s national policies promoting electric vehicle adoption. The company plans to play a key role in expanding eco-friendly transportation in the region, while evolving into a central hub for manufacturing and distribution throughout Southeast Asia.
